Gayna Williams, FounderGayna Williams is the founder of If She Can I Can, and she is on a mission to increase the presence of female leaders in the world. She plans to achieve this by helping women to achieve the careers they dream of and deserve through career coaching, workshops, writing and speaking engagements. She has 20 years experience of working in the high-tech industry. At Microsoft she started as an individual contributor in engineering and worked her way up to the position of director of customer experience, which came with the responsibility of leading design, research and engineering teams to deliver outstanding products, like Windows, to a global audience. She was successful in working in the male dominate tech workplace, and became skilled in navigating the corporate environment to get the results she wanted. She has a unique educational background that focused 100% on researching and creating a world that would provide the best situations to enable people to thrive, including organizational design, tool and technology design, and the design of physical environments. She has a BS from the UK and an MA from the University of Minnesota.
Gayna wants to make a difference by helping to increase the number of female leaders in the world because she has two daughters and wants to know the world they will work and live in will look different from the world she experienced. She will pursue this mission until there are at least 50% female representation in governments around the world, it's probably a life mission but she's signed up for it. To make progress on her mission Gayna works as a career coach, gender research consultant (on corporate culture and product development), and public speaker. She knows the way to achieve results is to take one action each day to move forward and that's what she does in her work - she help women to move towards their goals on action at a time. |
